Your mission as a QA Engineer
QA at Kolsquare means becoming a champion of quality, an advocate for users, and a trusted partner across teams. Your work will shape the foundation of user satisfaction and product excellence.
You will be the key link between our Product, Tech, Support, and Customer Success teams to ensure that the Kolsquare platform delivers a flawless experience for our users. You will become the ultimate product champion, knowing each and every detail of it, ensuring each new development respects the quality standards and constantly identifying areas of improvement, in the purpose of proactively preventing the occurrence of bugs.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong process orientation, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement processes & tools: Design and implement robust testing strategies (including tools & processes) and an efficient & scalable bug fixing process with the Tech team.
- Auditing & quality control: Design and continuously run non-regression test cases and quality control checks to identify bugs and areas of improvement (technical or functional), covering all user license types and use cases.
- Alpha release testing: Provide support to the Product & Tech team before the release of new features by running all necessary tests on staging environment.
- Documentation & knowledge: Update and maintain our wiki & answer internal requests on Slack channels. Provide support to maintain the help center.
- Bug Management & Prioritization: Serve as the main point of contact between the support team and the Product & Tech teams, overseeing the bug management process and ensuring reported bugs are prioritized and handled in a timely manner. Pass on recurrent issues and questions, providing insights that help improve the platform's usability and overall quality.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with both technical and non-technical teams, ensuring that the status of issues, features, and bugs are understood by all stakeholders.
- (Cherry on the cake) Feature Request Ownership: Take ownership of the feature request process, ensuring requests are complete and categorized correctly. With the help of the Product team, prioritize the requests and provide feedback and visibility. Identify quick wins and deliver them with the help of the product designers and support developers.
- (Optional) Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts, enhancing the testing process for more efficient and reliable results.
Key Requirements:
Experience : 3-5 years of experience in QA, with a strong understanding of product testing, bug tracking, and managing cross-team communications.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Proficiency in bug management, issue tracking, and reporting tools.
- A technical background, comfortable working with development teams to identify technical issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Test automation skills are a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Proactive and solutions-oriented, able to identify potential problems before they become bottlenecks.
- Rigorous attention to detail and strong organizational skills, ensuring nothing is overlooked.
- Strong team-player with excellent interpersonal and cross-team communication skills.
- A passion for process improvement and ensuring quality standards are met.
- You’re curious by nature! You ask why, explore edge cases, and dig deep into potential blind spots.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficient in English.
Nice to Have:
Experience owning the feature request process and knowing how to categorize and prioritize user requests and feedback.
Familiarity with product management frameworks (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
